"Bags of Gratitude"

Being thankful each day..

Peaceful Gratitude

Taking a walk in our beautiful countryside is one way of having time to think about all the things you are grateful for – big and small. Admiring the flowers and the shades of green across the fields is amazing. The gently breeze and the bright sunshine lifts the spirits and makes the day feel so special.

The different types of majestic trees, the sound of the birds singing and the rugged pathway through the countryside – it’s there for all of us to enjoy, when we take a moment to get out there and make the most of the day.

Gratitude in my Heart

I am so thankful for today, it is a new day, sunny, friendly, embracing. I woke up with a smile on my face. I am grateful for everyone that cares about me, spends time with me, remembers me. I send out thanks into the world today for simply being here.

Ode to Gratitude

Where did you come from

And where did you go

I felt your presence

Going to and fro.

I searched for a reason

As I walked along

Some words came to me

And created a song.

So precious and mysterious

Gratitude you came

When I least expected

Very much the same.

I listened to your message

Wrote a note or two

Send them to the universe

And right out to you.

Thank you for the mystery

That this life can bring

All the joys and laughter

And the birds that sing.

Thank you for today

The present to unwrap

Exploring all the elements

Bringing them all back.

Thank you for this moment

And the focus it brings

Something special now

As the bells do ring.

Thank you for this little ode

As it came to me

Writing it all down

So we can simply be.

Gratitude Always

It may seem strange to say this, ‘Gratitude Always’. There is something so magical about the impact that Gratitude can bring into our lives. It can be a random act of gratitude that we don’t really think about, that brings about a huge change.

Share a happy thought today with someone you don’t know very well, give them a gift of listening, share a story of gratitude that will warm their hearts, simply give a spring flower to someone, say a big ‘thank you’, greet someone with a big smile – whatever, works for you today. Stretch yourself daily to find a way to build your ‘Gratitude Always’ into a way of life.

Feel the difference as your Gratitude muscle strengthens.

Feelings of Gratitude

Out walking this morning in the fresh country air having borrowed a wonderful dog to take for a walk. I feel so full of gratitude for the time together –  a sense of wellness and peacefulness.

Taking time out of a day to walk and think with company, is so special and precious.

What are you grateful for today?

Gratitude Stood Next To Me

Spring Magic

I looked around the room and didn’t recognise anyone. It was strange going somewhere and not knowing who was going to attend. Chatting away to strangers can be so interesting and enlightening and takes you away from the things on your mind and gives you a welcome break from the worries of the world.

So many stories of life and sharing your own one puts things back into perspective. I realised as I was reflecting on the day, that Gratitude had been standing right next to me, my old friend was supporting me, as I felt thankful for the day and for the people I had met.

I am so grateful for everyone I have ever met, they have helped to shape me to be who I am and where I am now. The challenges and triumphs have been stepping stones in life and I am sure ahead there will be many more.

So just for today, remember gratitude is right next to you too – remember to be grateful for all the special moments in your life, the joy of friendship, the joy that animals can bring into your life and the joy of Spring flowers, sparkling in the sunlight and shedding a golden glow out into the garden.

New Year With Gratitude

Stepping into a new year is exciting, scary, thought provoking and fun! There are so many potential new pages to write onto and opportunities to create new experiences and new ventures.

I am thankful for last year and all the learning it brought to me. For the different people I have met and the places I have visited. The excitement of publishing my first book and the feeling it gave me to see the words in print. All the support from my family and friends – truly amazing.

Let GRATITUDE unfold..

Getting into gear today as the new year begins to unfold

Realising time is so precious, so to use it well

All ideas to form part of the journey this year

Taking time to relax and enjoy life

Inspirations to grow and develop

Tuning into our intuition more

Understanding the lessons and how they shape us

Deciding to do more, be more

Enhancing the pathway and being present each day.

Happy 2017

Thank You for Christmas Time

It is a special time of year. The memories of Christmas day as a child and the excitement of waking up to see my stocking filled with little treats. The Christmas Tree all sparkly and bright and the smell of the pine needles – oh for the days of a real tree!

Christmas is a time to remember the meaning of this special day and to say thank you to people who have been part of your year. To give a smile to those you meet and the gift of your time to those you love.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.

Thank You in Any Language

Saying ‘thank You’ is the same in any language it is just spelt differently and looks different, yet it has the same meaning.

The power of these two words is so great when it is said and meant with honesty and true gratitude. It is never too late to say ‘thank you’ to someone, for their kindness, thoughtfulness, friendship and companionship.

Reach out to say these words in person, in your heart, in your mind, send them out into the world and feel the warmth they bring.

Reaching for Gratitude

It only takes a second to say ‘thank you’ to the universe for supporting you in this life. Reaching up and out to count your blessings in your life.

Perhaps today is the day to take a moment to reach for gratitude.
